BIO/Mayborn and WISC Fellowship - February 8-22, 2020
As the recipient of the 2019 BIO/Mayborn Fellowship in Biography I spent two weeks in Santa Fe, New Mexico in February to research, ponder, and write under the guidance and support of James McGrath Morris, Patty Morris, and the staff at the Women's International Studies Center (WISC). For the first time this year, BIO and Mayborn partnered with WISC to support fellows like me. I am thrilled to count myself among them and so grateful for these three organizations' support. I departed organized, energized, and inspired by the network of brilliant and passionate writers and artists I was so lucky to meet here.

I am thrilled, honored, and grateful to have been awarded the 2019 Mayborn Fellowship in Biography, jointly sponsored by the Mayborn School of Journalism and the Biographers International Organization, and to have attended my first Mayborn Literary Nonfiction conference in July.
